Outstanding short documentary. Compared to all the sensationalised Maya shorts, this is well researched, informative, and beautiful. Great work.
Can there be a wire build entrance that the tortoise and all the other positive critters can enter but armadillos and racoons cant? I Know that's a lot of wish and work but can do, is also possible to help offset urban expansion. Maybe just where urban is and let nature be outside of urban to lessen the work. I autocad design for a living and traps or anti traps can be on my to do list. I have Gophers in my yard/ property and I hail respect by warning my neighbors by checking there tires when they go to drive. They hang out behind the car tires. My ween dog brought a baby tortoise inside the doggy door and was chewing on it. I relocated it a good distance. I fear they have compuse I don't know it they works and they will find there way back. Amiture here willing to learn and support.
Gracias
Cute as they come. Thanks for sharing. Your call to action is leave the cute monkeys where they belong, in the wild! God bless and thanks for sharing.

What an amazing video! Love it!
At this moment I hear 5 different Barred Owls Talking to one another. We live in the Everglades in remote area & love hearing them. Better than traffic noises in the city. During the day we hear Hawks, Woodpeckers & other noises, even wild Turkey's. Thanks for posting.
Great video ! Thanks to organizations like Captains for Clean Water changes to years of miss management are now happening.
That was amazing. Fisheating Creek, the campground back then, and now again, made me who I am. It was where I first went camping as a kid in the early 70'. First time sleeping in a tent. First time in a canoe, especially gliding along foggy water early in the morning. That part I can never forget. First time jumping off a dock and into the river, next to the canoe house back then. Wayman, or something similar, was the kid that showed us how and encouraged us to try. First time ever on a rope swing. Man, I could go on an on about how many firsts that place gave me. Still deep in my heart, and I have visited the State Park a couple of times recently. It brought back chills of happiness just seeing the river and some of the old, original camp sites still along the old part of the river within the park. Awesome place for sure. Thanks again for a great documentary, and I am so happy to see that you are keeping that rare slice of Florida preserved. Looks like you are being an exemplary steward of your land.
